Speak Out For SNAP

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is one of our nation's greatest tools in the fight against hunger. The program provides nutrition assistance to millions of low-income individuals and families who are struggling to keep food on the table. The administration recently proposed a rule that would take away SNAP eligibility for 755,000 unemployed and underemployed adults, cutting benefits by $15 billion over the next decade. With 1 in 8 Americans already struggling with food insecurity, these cuts would be devastating, and would leave hundreds of thousands of additional people at-risk of going hungry. Do you have a minute to help? Leave a comment today to protect this vital program. The 60-day public comment period on the proposed rule ends on April 2, 2019. Submit your comment here.
