Latest News:
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps keep millions of Americans out of poverty every year and protects our most vulnerable populations from going hungry. Food assistance for those in need shouldn't have a time limit, but the Trump Administration recently proposed a rule that would take away SNAP eligibility for 755,000 unemployed and underemployed adults. That means cutting SNAP food benefits by $15 billion over the next decade. These cuts would be devastating for our country, and would lead to rising hunger and poverty.
We're joining our friends at FRAC, Feeding America, the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, and the Center for American Progress (CAP) to protect this vital lifeline. Will you join us? If you're concerned about the SNAP cuts, please speak out today.
